Well aware of the style that they are doing and its what I was talking about. Hands palms towards you is easy, can even do them one handed but no chance in h e double hockey sticks with palms facing away from me with one hand. A pull up requires a strong back like he was attempting to do there. Chin up lets you use your arms and your chest a little bit.

What he is trying to do there is the harder version but for a lightweight young kid it should be easy. Well at least to do one. It scares me that he cant. One he is obviously weak and that is a concern, two he knew he would be tested and didn't workout hard enough to achieve success.

Yet don't get me wrong, bench press and chin ups/pull ups, if that's all it took to be a hockey player I would of been a star lol. You cant teach a genetic gift. Concerns me though, took my overweight buddy to the gym years ago (46 years old ) and he couldn't do one. 3 months later he could do several. Were not talking bodybuilders here, average short 46 year old man who was overweight by about 40 pounds. Guy put the effort in and three month later could do pull ups. This kid could not put that effort in? Does not speak well for him. Yet if he is still there at 4 I hope the flames draft him. Lock him and Johnny in the weightroom for a few months lol!

Only 1 out of 120 young athletes at the top of their sport could do 13 pull ups.
