I don't really think it is disingenuous.
I picked Bennett, even though I think Draisaitl may be a better player. I believe that Draisaitl will probably go in the top three, but even in the event that both he and Bennett are somehow available to the Flames, there is possibly a better fit for Calgary with Bennett. It is entirely possible that the deciding factor for this team—which is not necessarily the same for other teams—is speed, which makes Bennett the better pick for the Flames.
When the players are this close, it is really difficult to settle on the best player available, and that in turn means that different teams will prioritise different skill-sets in their analyses.
