I don't see a problem with going to watch the game and then not signing. It's a free ticket which is peanuts to any team. Hey, thanks for the game. Glad you guys lost! Thanks too for stiffing my bro!
Now if he said he was interested in signing and then backed out, that would be different. I don't think taking them up on their offer to go to a game really means that. Just go to the game and if it's still in his mind to not sign, who cares? Maybe a part of that is my dislike for the Hawks, so if it's seen as a dbag move, good on em.
And I don't see it like the Tom Erixon fiasco at all. Tom insisted on playing for the Rangers and I still believe there was tampering involved. Just kindly take the Hawks up on their offer, as it's nothing binding and enjoy them losing out.
