And that is probably going to continue until he is 100 years old too I bet.
Sooner or later, all old players break down. I just don't think a team like Boston still in their prime position to win would want to bank on a 37 year old repeating a 30 goal, 50+ point season. Iginla may very well do it, but is it wise to assume he will?
For their top line, I think their first choice will be someone else if Iginla wants the same kind of money. If he signs at discount that would make him viable as a 2nd liner (could still challenge for top line ice time though), then I think the risk is a lot more palatable.
