I think shadow of himself is too strong of a term. He was after all nominated for the Norris yet again this season. But he's definitely the most important player on the team. As Chara goes, so do the Bruins. He struggled against the Habs with his injury and it certainly affected the team's performance. The key next season will be to keep him fully healthy for a long cup run. He only had 3 shots his last 3 games and that really affected the PP's effectiveness. IMO a healthy Chara pushes them up to at least round 3 and beyond.
