Maybe it's an internal e-mail going around in education circles right now. From what I recall, this is extra pay on top of their regular teaching salaries for marking assignments during their regular work hours.

Part of me wants to comment how they should just accept it as part of job expectations as other industries expect workers to absorb extra workload during heavy phases. Speaking with my friends who are teachers however, I understand how gruelling marking can be.
