When I was 8 or 9 I hit a kid who lived on the same street as me with a discarded car tire. When that kid's parents called my parents about it I denied it up and down for a couple of days. That "kid" is still a good friend of mine some 20 years later as is the rest of our families. I realize now that I came close to causing a feud or rift in the friendships between both families.
Why did I do it? Another kid started it and I thought it was cool to join in.... dumb dumb dumb.
