Again, explain to me why the government shouldn't have a list of what guns you own? The government knows how many/what vehicle(s) people own, why not do the same with guns? Outside of fear-mongering "they're gonna take our guns!" I cannot see any reason why a registry is a bad idea.
If you obtain guns legally, and use them legally, a registry isn't going to affect you.
