Paul Kariya got clocked often because he never had his head on a swivel. He often watched his passes and put himself in vulnerable positions. Even as a kid I always noticed that. I think JG has learned at an early age to be the opposite of that.

And you could say the same about injuries in pretty much any area of the ice. Many more players these days are injured along the boards then they are from open ice hits, or hits in front of the net. Anways, the point I was getting at is that I don't think JG getting clocked is really going to be an issue for him. I've still yet to see a single video of him taking a hard hit.
