Obviously remember where I was as a 13 year old...playing soccer that evening, a nice May summer night, against a visiting European team..all the parents were in their cars listening to the radio, and random car horn honks meant goals or just jubulation, randomly, through the game.

Superstition and nerves meant I wasn't likely to watch anyways; didn't watch a lot of games after the Vancouver series as I was too scared to see the Flames not advance, and the night of the final game, played street hockey before said soccer game and didn't see any goals. Left for the game after the first period after seeing highlights of Patterson's goal.

Soccer game was just down the street in Lake Bonavista, and it ended just before our game ended. Got a ride home with my mom and we stopped at 7-11, and they were giving out free slurpees. Then home to change and then to head out to Acadia drive to stand in the median to get car horns to honk.

Though there are about 20 select people that have my bootlegged copy purchased through CP from 2003 (when we weren't caring about that sort of stuff), where I burned a copy of my parents Betamax version of the game, the 2&7 parade coverage onto a DVD (and we had a CP night at Peanuts Pub to watch it as well), that footage isn't online in full...though here's a few clips.

CBC's final montage, though the last 30 seconds was edited out:

Posted I think by a CP member a few years ago, 2&7's montage.
38:20 is where it starts:

Peter Maher's call of the last 5 seconds (though he's late with the call, you can hear the siren):

Other video notes, was Ron McLean dropping Anderson Road, 14st, Crowchild Trail in his post game, talking about the celebrations going on in Calgary, after also showing the celebrations on Electric Avenue. Also, Dick Irvin thankfully had shut up the last 3 mins, likely weeping as he didn't have any Canadiens stories to tell anymore. Also, that 2&7 package shows how much of a beast Joey Mullen was. Outside of my Craig Conry Game 7 2004 SCF jersey, my signed, original (bought in 1994) Joe Mullen authentic signed jersey (had him sign it when he was in town as an assistant for the Pens years ago), is my most treasured Flames peice...may crack it out tomorrow.

Also, "Good Times" by Tom Cochrane, was one of the songs we played at our wedding almost 11 years ago, simply because of my happy memory of it in the above mentioned 2&7 montage 14 years prior to that.

Saw Cliff Fletcher on the plane coming back from Phoenix a few days ago...looking good for his age.
