I was actually thinking it is possible that both teams would see flipping Wideman for Campbell as adding all around value to the deal.
Florida gets younger, and only adds $2M to their books, for an extra years. As a cap budget team that does not attract allot of FAs that could be vary positive.
Calgary inches closer to the Cap Floor, gets less term + probably some extra trade value in the deal.
Maybe we could see something crazy like
Wideman + Russell + Klimchuk for Ekblad + Campbell.
Keep our own 1st, and draft a Sam.
