While I agree that most of the rules you posted are the basic standard, we ammend ours to make the game funner, with less cheap wins. They go as follows:
- If you get both balls into one cup, you drink a maximum of 3 of the cups that are touching the cup. This gets rid of someone catching up despite getting their asses kicked cause they sink both balls into the middle cup eliminating 8 cups.
- Fingering is cheap. We play everyone blows despite the innuendo.
- Balls back? We play that if both players on the team sink their balls that team gets to throw again.
- Trick Shot! If the ball bounces of the rim of a cup and the defending team catches it before it bounces of the floor or table, the person that catches it gets a trick shot. You have to call your shot exactly as it's supposed to happen (outside of calling the cup) and it has to be something significantly more difficult then just throwing (i.e. distance throw, behind the back, 3 bounces etc...). If you sink it the other team has to drink two cups and the person that sunk the trickshots turn is over, however their teammate gets to throw their regular turn still. If you miss your trickshot, you get to throw your regular throw. It's basically a free throw where if you get it in the other team has to drink 2 instead of 1. Balls Back applies should both players on the team sink their throw.
- I'm confused by your last rule? If you're down to one cup you have to get it in or its over? Or do you mean if you're down to one cup and the other team sinks it, you can keep playing until you miss? We play the latter. You can "redeem" yourself. You basically have to match the other team and win the game so if the other team sunk your last cup and you have 4 cups left to sink, you get to try and get all 4 of those cups, which would require both players sinking it in for a balls back and/or explosion, or two bounces... etc.
- We also play that if a beer gets knocked over, it counts. I.E. make sure you don't let one of your beers fall over.
Also I do commend you for not playing with rollbacks. I think that is the stupidest rule ever. If the ball rolls back to you after your throw and you grab it before the other team grabs it, you get to throw again. Super lame.
God I love beer pong.
You know whats like Flip Cup, but better? Survivor.
