Forgot about this thread. Best new comedy I've seen in years. TJ Miller just cracks me up and Mike Judge knows how to make quirky crazy worlds. Zach Woods cracks me up too, he was great in the later seasons of The Office and just as good here.
Christopher Evan Welch who played Peter Gregory died back in December during filming, he was diagnosed with Lung Cancer when he was called to say he got the role.

Quote:
“These people came up to me and said, ‘Peter Gregory is so great, what’re you going to do with him next season?’ ” Judge recalls over the phone from L.A. “When I told them (the actor) Chris Welch had died they got so sad.”
“It’s kind of stunning,” he adds. “People have become obsessed with that character.”
That feeling of shock and sadness for Welch’s passing will be familiar to anyone who has seen Silicon Valley. As angel investor Gregory, the Texas native was the most absorbing of the the ensemble comedy’s misfit characters, embodying the college-fearing tech guru with a balance of outlier quirkiness and humanity. “To me, seeing him read that character was one of the things that tipped the scales between, ‘Do I make this or not?’” Judge says of Welch’s performance. “It was so real and so much like these kind of people I’ve known in the engineering and programming tech world.”
