It's just as classless to tell someone in a handshake line that you're going to kill them as it is in a post game press conference or in the paper the next day.
You don't show up and egg the opposition's house in the name of rivalry, just like you don't disrespect the game, your teammates and each other by threatening people in the handshake line.
Cultivate rivalry sure, you do it during the games, not outside of them.

I don't think anyone was advocating that Lucic stalk Weise and wait for him with a tire iron in the parking lot. There was actually a good article about the "handshake incident" in the national post the other day. Was what Lucic said right? No. Was it understandable? Absolutely.
Keep in mind that over the 7 game series some hatred was formed between the teams and certain players. Buzzer sounds to end the series and minutes later you're shaking hands with the guy that had likely been saying just as derogatory things to you and is now moving onto the next round. That's gotta sting and I think it's understandable that Lucic was pissed off and said what he said.
