Haha. First off, your kidding yourself if you think this is the first time. There was a bunch of former NHLer's on NHL radio Thursday/Friday and they all unanimously said they've heard worse and one old timer said he just didn't even bother shaking hands. Phil Esposito went on a long rant about how stupid he thought it was. I just don't understand the need for the show.
Players should absolutely have a chance to shake the hand of an opponent they respect. The Selanne thing last night showed that. What doesn't need to happen is every guy mumbling good game to each other and not meaning it. It doesn't affect my viewing pleasure, I just don't see the big deal with what happened here
