There is the odd trail around Frank Lake, but that is very flat. Also if you can find a decent fishing access along the Highwood or Sheep river there are usually some decent trails along there, but that is generally private property. If you head West of High River there is lots of trails, especially in the Bragg Creek area. A great little place is Brown Lowery Provincial Park, it is about an hour from there but there are some excellent trails that are ~5km loops.

The issue with Blackie east is she's pretty flat all the way to Ontario. Minus the odd river valley/coulee. If the farm you’re staying at has any coulees that would likely be your best bet.
