Each team had two deserving wins and exchanged off games as well, but this game was pretty much all Boston in terms of possession, shots and scoring chances. Aside from making the most of the small handful of scoring opportunities Montreal had, it was all Price. So labelling this an ass kicking is definitely a stretch. You couldn't say so for either team.
I still think Boston is the better team. It was an issue of the Habs, namely Price, getting in their heads. When it gets between the ears it starts to affect a team's game/approach. It's like (just pulling an example out of my ###) when the Oilers had the Hawks' number for a while and were pounding them by some ridiculous tallies. But you still knew the Hawks were three times the team the Oil were. Of course the separation isn't nearly as large between these two teams, but Boston would at least have a chance against a Chicago or LA finals they made it through, whereas the Habs quite honestly have none.
