Well that's the season.
I thought it was a decent ending though they rushed the end of Hydra
Spoiler!
Garrett is clearly dead. That wasn't a surprise, a actor like Bill Paxton is expensive, and he did leave some clues to next year with the diagram that Coulson continued to work on. I did laugh that they made the big show of Paxton going through the pain of getting cybernetic-ally enhanced only to be exploded by Coulson in a nonchalant manner.
Ward is going to probably the freezer, loved the fight scene, you saw them tease his regret and a possible redemption, then May stapled his foot to the floor and punched his throat out. I would expect that he'll break out, but the last scene with the team had Tripp in the picture, so I'm assuming that he's a permanent member.
Fitz and Simmons had a nice little scene there, she's ok but it sounds like Fitz might have some brain damage, is Tahiti going to be a wonderful place?
Deathlok turned, I knew that would happen as soon as I heard about the incentive program. I missed what happened to Quinn, but he's still out there as is the gravitonium. Deathlok is off on the long walk to redemption.
Coulson is now director of Shield and has to rebuild it, I knew that Mace Win . . . err Fury was going to be back, he had a pretty minor role in the season ender after all of the buildup, but he's going to be in the next Avengers movie, but this paves the way for Coulson to return.
Looks like next season is going to have a stronger monster of the week element as they try to capture the escapees from the freezer, but we saw a glimpse of one of Sky's parents, and the theme is going to probably be about evolution.
Overall I think a season that started with the struggle, got really strong, and was a little soft but still good in the end.
