This week comes news that the Antarctic ice sheet is collapsing, which will raise sea levels by more than a metre and possibly closer to four metres. Imagine.
My father’s generation made terrible sacrifices to save the world from the Nazis and Imperial Japan. Mine won’t take a point or two cut in GDP to arrest climate change.
One day, my daughter’s generation will look back in anger as they contemplate their compromised lives. And they’ll be right to do so.
