I agree the west is so much better but that never guarantees anything. The western winner will be more beat up and will likely have to go up against a hot goalie. I'd take Price, Rask, and Lunqvist over anyone in the west except maybe Quick.

Of course it won't last forever that is what happens in the playoffs. Making it further in the playoffs is usually more fun for fans than getting eliminated.

Did you just compare the Calgary vs Edmonton or Vancouver rivalries to one with Montreal? I know all Canadian teams have a small rivalry and they played for two Stanley Cups but it is not close. The last time they met in the playoffs 25 years ago the Flames won the cup, hardly a reason to hate the Habs.

I cheered for Boston in 2011 and Carolina in 2006, but also cheered for Ottawa in 2007. Is that okay or is it unacceptable to cheer for any other Canadian teams? Oh, and I will be a Wild fan tomorrow. I don't like the Hawks and love Game 7s.
