The reason I ask is sometimes the size of our country has an effect on some of those types of numbers. For example sometimes it isn't easy to get to medical attention because of the distance to the hospital.

Russia and the US aren't included in the study. It's probably fair to say that with them included Canada would rank more favourable in comparison.
But the numbers are pretty stark. Poor rankings for professionals and technology. Size of a country doesn't affect those to a large degree.
