I just have a feeling that (if as expected) Eckblad goes first, the Sabres will take one of the Sams. Then Edmonton will be be panic-ed worrying about who we're going to take. I think they'll lean to which ever Sam is remaining... but will worry we'll take Draisaitl leaving us with a one-two punch of Monahan and Draisaitl. Worrying they'll be undersized, they'll take Draisaitl.
That will leave us with one of the Sams and Draisaitl will be an Oiler next season soaking in the losing culture. Call it bias, but I think no matter who Edmonton picks, it will be the wrong choice and whoever falls to us with flourish.

I honestly think that Edmonton is aware of this dilemma and will over pay to get the "safe" Ekblad pick so that they can avoid having egg on their face 2014 oil change style.
It just wouldn't be the same at the draft if the Oil didn't have the first overall pick
