Let me start with Baertshi has tremendous skills and if he can get it together will be a great player. On the minus side this season has been a step back and he only has one more season of being waiver ineligible, so he has to put it together fairly soon.
I put some of the blame on Flames prior management, the media and us fans for putting him on a pedestal and making outrageous predictions for his rookie season, but still he needs to get over it and come down to earth in his own mind. Backlund went through a little bit of the same and is coming out pretty well so I hope the same can happen with Sven.
One more thought is that he's been passed by Granlund and Reinhart and we have a new player in Gaudreau who is very much like Sven, so I wouldn't be disappointed if Sven was traded.
