What an awsome game last night!!! I got back from Munich very very late last night after watching Deutschland win!!!!!! They put up one screen in the main square of Muncih right in front of the big castle like municipal building. We got there right at game time and needless to say that we did not get a very good place to stand. We were also off to the side and it was one of those screens that where you could not see any thing from the sides (I forgot what those are called??). It was so packed that we went into the mall about 5 miunutes in and went to a department store that sold TVs to watch the game. There were about 15 TVs on display and the place was packed with about 1000 people I think. I did get to watch the rest of the game there in peace though. It was a highly entertaining high scoring game and the parties on the streets were pretty good after the game as well. I will say this though. I was a bit disappointed. I was expecting Red Mile X 10 last night but after last night I think I can say that the Red Mile in 2004 was just as good if not better than the party in Munich after the Deutschland win last night.

After the game we went to a pub called the Hauptbrau house which could be the best pub that I have ever been to in my life. One liter beer mugs, great food, and roudy German soccer fans made the place amazing. There were an unusual amount of Mexican fans there last night which surprised me. I dont think they are playing in Munich soon. A small U-S-A chant was started by some Americans but that chant was completely destroyed with a loud DEUTSCH-LAND chant.

I think I have the worlds worst hangover right now. I have not stopped drinking sine I got here and last night was one of the biggest nights thus far. I cant wait for the next game.

I did manage to get tickets to the Iran vs. Portugal match on the 17th in Frankfurt. I am going to the World Cup!!!!!!! My friend managed to get Germany vs. Ecuador tickets for a cool $400.00 CAD.

Well I am going back to sleep for a while. Enjoy the games back in Calgary.
