Carolina, Edmonton, Buffalo, Nashville and Vancouver at this point can all be considered strong candidates for worst of the bunch honors. And that's just looking at teams right now before the playoffs are even over.

We most likely will be. Vancouver will likely hover where they were this year, or be a little better. Nashville should be about the same. Buffalo will absolutely be worse than us, and so will Carolina if this rumoured sell off happens. Edmonton should improve, but still be in 5-8 territory.
We had a lot of good will and hard work along with a career year from our top D-man. We're losing our top scorer, there will be more youth in the lineup. Plus the weight of some expectation. Next year is shaping up to be a step "backwards".
