I don't know if we can count that, but almost every post I have thanked has been a post I was thinking of making or a good point that I didn't consider. Someone who isn't saying much but still thanking posts should be seen as contributing in my mind.

After reading this I quickly went back through the pages and found 2 posts you thanked. post 45 - an avatar change, and post 484 - Aeneus saying we should vote for hard to spell names. How is that contributing?
What posts did I miss that you thanked? I know you can go back and add some thanks now, but it seems like a weird thing to use as a defense when you haven't really thanked any posts.
