I just don't get why you would want people would want to come back. If I acted so poorly that I was banned, I don't know why I'd want to be around the people that banned me. Sure there are a few that change, but then there are the vast majority that don't, and act just the way they did before. There are several posters who are on at least their third name. If you got banned, there was likely a good reason, and it was likely because you were disrupting the board. If you come back, there is a likelihood that you would do it again. Not all returning posters are bad, but I'd like to see that stats on how many of the second accounts have been banned again.

I'm guessing the mods know who most of the returning posters are, as there have been posts where they shown the process on how a poster can return. There are posters here right now who have returned, and I would guess the mods don't know who they are yet. There are also the others that type until their fingers hurt that they aren't a returning poster, and they clearly are a returnee.
