Any recommendations for a new cycle commuter on biking from 16th ave ne / centre street to 49th ave NE (by Canada Post)

From what I can see there's about three options:

Option 1: Take pathway along nose creek up to McKnight. Then have to get on the road from McKnight to 12th Street NE as there's no path to cross over Deerfoot. Biking on McKnight does not seem to be the brightest option. It's short but that intersection is a mess in a car and nobody will be expecting a bike.

Option 2: Head west, pathway by fox hollows for a bit then cross Deerfoot and go up 12th Street NE. 12th Street NE isn't great but it's not McKnight. I tried this out on the weekend and it wasn't too bad although the lights to cross 32nd ave were a little maddening!

Option 3: Longest distance but least amount of driving in traffic. Can take pathway all the way to Deerfoot Mall and then likely cut through the parking lot and side streets working my way back south.

North East isn't really set up for cycle commuting but I'm determined to give it a go. Any thoughts or suggestions?
