Measles outbreak declared in Calgary, Edmonton and central Alberta
Alberta officially declared a measles outbreak in Calgary, Edmonton and central Alberta Tuesday.

Health officials say the declaration was prompted by "several consecutive weeks in which new cases of measles disease have been confirmed."

Measles Outbreak
Effective April 29, 2014, a measles outbreak has been declared in the Calgary, Central and Edmonton Zones of Alberta Health Services. Albertans in all Zones are encouraged to ensure immunizations are up to date.
