He left the Flames being fired as a general manager. He was always a good coach.
That LA squad was disjointed and and not playing like a team when he took them over. There was talent, sure. But there are a LOT of talented teams. He deserves a ton of credit for the job he's done coaching them and that doesn't need to be predicated with the wet blanket spin
