The Xbox is an entertainment device which is more all-encompassing than just video games, so your point is moot.
dino7c: I'm reacting to you comparing the Wii with the Kinect, not comparing Wii Sports vs KSR. The tech is not the same, not even remotely. That's why your comparo is insipid.
I'm a technology nerd, I like innovation. Kinect doesn't do enough for you with games? BFD, just use the controller. I'm looking at the bigger picture, I want to see where this technology takes us as it matures. And the best way to improve the technology? Have a bunch of people use it and improve it based upon feedback. Shocking concept, isn't it? Kinect will improve as time goes on, just as both consoles will ultimately improve as developers learn to extract more and more performance out of them. Erick Estrada is bang on.

thats nice except they are forcing me to buy a kinect...nobody is buying a $500 console for "original programming" that will also be on the xbox
Kinect wouldn't even exist without the Wii, comparison is valid and my original point is there is too much focus on Kinect at microsoft, xbox has gone downhill big time since the original kinect was released...look at the 1st party games since that time. The last year of the 360 was kinect based mini game collections
2010-2013 Microsoft basically forgot about gamers and made kinect games, PS3 gained major market share during that time and it has transferred over to next gen
Sony 56 non-motion exclusives Microsoft had 12! that is when I changed my preference as have many others and the sales numbers back it up
