I did do a little research and it does look like an MLA needs to serve 2 terms to get their full pension. Alison was elected in 2008 and has to fulfil her term in order to get the pension. That term is set to expire in about 16 months iirc.

I would expect that we'll see very little of Alison in the Legislature for the next 16 months but she will keep her seat and get her pension and walk away from politics.
