Well they did in successive years so what's your point? You claim the voters don't know but maybe it's you that doesn't know. IMO the Paul Coffee vs Scott Stevens type debates have been going on for decades to what makes the best defenseman. It's an overall vote. Keith may not be a shut down defenseman but he's an integral piece of one of the best NHL teams of the past decade and arguably he and Teows are the straws that stir that drink. You can make a very good argument for Chara but not Weber. Weber is good and all but since Suter left town he's kind of been exposed a little bit being a minus player over the past few years. I look at it as the Preds were a playoff team with Suter and Weber and the Wild were not a playoff team. The Wild get Suter and they are a playoff team and the Preds no longer.
