I'm seriously impressed with Treliving's CV. A man who (co-)founded his own minor pro hockey league while still in his twenties is impressive. A man whose minor pro league didn't fail, like 95% of all the pro leagues that have come and gone, but survived long enough to be merged with the Central Hockey League – that's even more impressive. A man who became president of the merged CHL, and led it through seven years of steady growth and success – that's beyond impressive.
It's worth noting, too, that the Central League has shrunk from 17 teams when Treliving left to 10 teams today. Apparently he was not an easy man to replace.
