Carolina is very incestuous franchise for lack of a better word. They rarely go outside of the Karmanos family of teams to fill positions. I believe Freidman had that the Plymouth Whalers coach/gm will be heading there to be in the front office as well (Karmanos owns that team as well). And obviously Ron Francis is part of the crew.
I wonder if an outside voice would help?
