Going forward, it would be a lot better for everyone if we would just concede the fact that world leaders need to travel around the world. And that costs money.
Alberta is one of the richest places in the world. Our provincial government has fallen over a 45K travel expense. And the Federal Government is turning their wheels over 90K.
Sometimes I think I'm living in country full of Rick Bells. These people are world leaders. Let them drink all the 16$ orange juice they want.

Why focus on just the one trip when she was flying to vacation spots on the Alberta jet, using it to take her kid on vacations. Sending it to pick up her nanny and then having it return empty.
Its not just the 45 k, there were a lot more trips under scrutiny then that.
On top of that trying to get a golden palace built.
Being in charge of a government that put together one of the shadiest accounting and budgeting practices since Enron.
People are saying she didn't take vacations, she clearly took several.
On top of that there's the possibility under investigation that she used Alberta's plan to go to fund raising events which is another problem in on itself.
If she's taking stress leave, then announce that she's taking stress leave(that's the rule btw if she goes on sick leave it has to be disclosed, you know in the name of transparency) and this goes away. But under the rules of government, the citizens of this province have a right to know why she's getting paid to go on vacation when she's been missing for a month.
I'm wondering, Alison was elected in 2008, Is she eligible for full pension or does she have to stick around for her entire second term to get her pension?
IIRC you have to serve two full terms to get the full pension, so will Alison refuse to show up for work for the next 15 or 16 months and then further leach off of the system.
