The press conference isn't open to the public like some teams, it's just media. The way the fans see the conference is either the YouTube video's or the article on the Flames site or Abby newspaper. It's not like a last public appearance by the Staff and Team to say goodbye sort of thing.
Plus, I'm not sure if that's the mindset you want to send them off with. I would rather send them off thinking they are going to win the next 3 and we have another series rather then the "Let's say goodbye now because it's potentially all over".
I think the time to reminiscence about their time in Abbotsford is when it's actually done. Not while they are still fighting in the playoffs. But that's just me maybe.

I agree with you. Having the team dwell that thus might be their last game in Abbotsford would be a disaster. It would be like saying " We are done . no point in trying now." I think postponing those questions shows the loyals , hey we are still here and we are going to fight to get this series and playoffs back to this Arena. We are not done yet.
