Good article.

I think the final sentence is a bit over-optimistic. We may be bursting at the seems with potential NHL'ers, which is a HUGE step forward for our beloved organization - but we're not busting at the seems with NHL impact players.

With a top 5 pick this year, and what I predict will be another high pick next year alongside hopefully at least an additional 2nd round pick in '15 as well - I think the Summer of 2015 is when management should then start REALLY building outside of the draft and "going for it".

2015 boasts a potentially fruitful free agency crop, and a lot of our prospects will be right "there" as far as being established pros and ready to make the hop forward.

I really do hope Connie's sentiments on the Fan the other day ring true - and that there will be the appropriate amount of patience shown. This summer is not the year to rush things, it's another summer to help prepare for another strong year of continued development of that team identity we all fell in love with this past season. We need another year like this one where we absolutely establish ourselves and one of the, if not THE hardest working team in the league.

It was cool to watch the young guys last night (I paid the 10 bucks for the AHL Live game), unfortunate finish - but very exciting. I'll definitely be watching as the Heat continue down their playoff road.
