"Burn it out of his soul"? I've got to hand it to you, Tinordi. You certainly have a flare for the dramatics.

The real question is what one would define as "serious". We've seen CP's Freeway, a media member, say Baertschi was sulky when sent down the start the season, he was upset and thought he should be in the NHL. Freeway continued to say that since he was sent down he hasn't heard any of that from Sven. Since then he seems to have totally bought in and judging by his steller play to start the year, and one hell of a game yesterday I don't think the attitude problems are as serious as you'd like to claim.

To me this would suggest Baertschi needed some fine tuning, he got down on himself and needed a confidence booster. You can chalk that up to a lot of things. I've seen a couple theories as to why, a star Swiss player who was always "the guy" on his teams, he never had a rough road to the NHL until recently so he wasn't used to defeat, got down on himself because of it, not sure how to handle it.

I'd again say that's not serious. A serious attitude is Rob Schremp etc, someone who doesn't want to work on the rest of the game, someone who wants to play "Rob Schemp hockey" as an example. Baertschi definitely needed an adjustment in his confidence but he's never been a guy who has had a bad attitude. Sulky maybe but not bad.
