Seriously GFY. This isn't a game of hot potato where the earlier you leave the less you pay. Is it that hard to calculate what you're going to owe?

I had to cover like $200 on the weekend. It was with work colleagues. Embarrassing.

Next,

2) my profession is one which typically has the reputation where we abuse expense accounts. It drives me mental whenever I see or hear people taking advantage of their companies through expense accounts. To the point where I am sometimes eating stuff I easily could expense if I need to push it but always don't. Then I see engies (always greasy unethical engies) always abusing their accounts, bragging about it and then calling our profession out based on some ridiculously unfounded reputation which no longer exists. People who abuse expense accounts are no more above the guy robbing the 7-11, you are a thief and a jackass. Bragging about wasting your companies money on irrelevant BS is moronic. No you don't need a $500 lunch. And in a similar vein people who expect you to pay after they invite you on a business lunch and who choose ####ing Caesars as the location. Get bent.
.....
I'm more than a little embarrassed that I totally misinterpreted what that term meant, shocked that you would post that on-line, more shocked that nobody called you out on it, and further disappointed in myself that I wondered when did they start getting good jobs with expense accounts?
