The number is very misleading.
They started the season with a terrible PK. Just awful. Giving up 2-5 goals (there was a Texas Massacre early in the season) a night.
Then in January/Feb went on almost 40 straight PK's without a goal and completely turned it around.
Now, the PK isn't bad at all and typically we have more chances short-handed then they do on the PP.
Just looked and the Heat are 2nd in the AHL for Home PK (87.3%) and 29th in the AHL for Road PK (71.5%). The road numbers are bad because the struggles early in the season were on the road. There was very little to do to recover from the mess that was happening in November/December.
