Except in recent polls the Wildrose is hugely ahead. You're also holding them to a different standard then any other political party out there. Its pretty rare that a opposition party releases any kind of alternative platform until thet're in an election. The Wildrose compare to other oppositions has taken the extra step with the shadow budget and other policy challenges.

Right now basically I think that if the wildrose keep their more extreme elements tied up in a broom closet, they'll win the next election, basically the PC's have no credibility with the electorate at all. They're numbers have slide into fringe party type of numbers. Maybe the PC's can fix it, maybe they can't. But I doubt that the Wildrose will let the voters forget about the dismal track record of the PC's and keep hammering them on it.

Maybe, but your talking an election that's 15 months away. The writ might drop sooner but who knows. Right now as leader of the opposition her job is more about fighting PC policy and critizing the government then it is about running a platform. That happens in an election. Every opposition party functions that way. You don't see Trudeau throwing out a concrete platform nor Mulcair.

That is going to take time to ingrain, so for their sake they should start soon.

Maybe, but right now the sound strategy is to keep knocking down PC credibility. Which means you keep digging and looking for stinky nuggets, so that the PC credibility is at 0, then the election becomes way easy, you can attack them on their credibility while building your platform.
