Jack Skille (RW) - One of the younger free agents available. Once a highly regarded prospect. A low-risk, potentially high reward project. The worst case scenario would be that the farm would have a ppg player, and we could have some call-up depth.
Devin Setoguchi (RW) - From S. Alberta. Some have questioned his drive this year, but perhaps coming "home" and playing for a new coach could cure that. Decently skilled and not a push over. Still young enough to be part of the solution. Given that he isn't coming off a strong year, maybe he would accept a short term deal
Emil Garipov (G) - Highly regarded undrafted KHL goalie. Will only be 23 later this summer. Perhaps a little redundant with Ortio at a similar level and age, but a free asset is never a bad thing. Still young enough to be a prospect. I know people cringe at the "best player outside the NHL" thing, but Ramo seemed to have turned into a decent asset and Berra ended up getting us something. (I am not 100% if he is a free agent or still draft eligible).
Jaromir Jagr (RW) - He seems to be in mercenary mode and would probably be a lot of fun to have around for a year. If he is in it for the money and values being a mentor for young players, I could see him taking the job. The only caveat would be that he wouldn't be opposed to being traded at the deadline if need be.
