The budget isn't balanced, they just made the budget incredibly convoluted.
Look I'm not on anyones side in this race except against Redford and corruption. But for the PC's to sit back and say we have a balanced budget is a bit of a fabrication.

Indeed. The PCs claim they balanced the budget, but virtually nobody actually took them at their word. Everyone saw through the charade when it was presented, and it will not be difficult for the opposition parties to show how the debt has ballooned in the last several years.
