I was sitting in Melrose the night they clinched a playoff spot with the win against the Yotes.

I was 1 of 2 people in the whole place wearing a new jersey and the other guy any I were on opposite sides of the bar but were the only 2 people in the place to be excited and cheering during the game and about the outcome.

People were actually glaring at us and shaking heads like "shut up" wow the Flames actually won ......people had no idea, nor did they care......yet.

Funny from that moment through to the very end I kept telling people the Flames were going to win the cup.

Ill carry to my grave the Everlasting memories of the entire experience of the games I saw, the people I met, the hundreds I high fived, hugged .

I remember when it was over I was devastated.....then when we went to the Olympic Plaza ..... I was so proud proud proud of the turnout......and people were joking ....imagine we'd won the game??

We did.

Damn onions.
