Ya, but what is being discussed is trading a first round pick for a first overall, not a 27 year old. The difference of the year will mean nothing in the long run. It seems (I'm no scout) that Ekblad would be fourth compared to next years rankings. What are our odds of being in the top 4? They are real, but probably less than 50/50. It is a risk, but could be pretty methodical and still serves to build the team with elite level draft picks, which everyone agrees we need.
