This "culture" and "identity" stuff is so overrated. The thought that bringing Iginla back would be some crushing blow to the tender team psyche is hilarious.

It's not that complicated: have a mix of good, great, and useful players, play well, win games, make playoffs, go from there.

Any UFA that could be helpful should be desired on the team. It make take a few years to get to the point that the Flames are competitive, but in the meantime they should still try to be.
