Dead Gaming Computer
This is my year for dead tech. Fortunately with the last death someone on CP had a replacement for sale. So this time one of my son's had his gaming computer die. Took it to Memory Express and they said it was the graphics card and that it wasn't worth fixing. $300 for the card and $100 to install it. $400 on a computer that cost $1300 orginally. Three years old(MSI).
So is it worth getting a 2nd opinion? Can I sell any of the parts? Worth looking for a video card and trying to fix it myself?
Of am I down to just letting him know he can wait till the Boxing Day sales?
