Wheres the separation here? Both have consistency issues but Perlini is by all accounts just as fast or faster and in better shape.

I'm starting to think some people are using Ritchie as a dark Horse argument to suit their need to argue without looking at others. Both are 6'3" but Ritchie weighs 24 pounds more (and not in a good way which would address the conditioning and consistency issue).

Again, I'm not sold on Ritchie at all. Perlini looks to be the better option out of the two as Perlini played on a worse team (57 points for the Icedogs in the OHL season and 70 for Peterbourough) and kept pace on a points production level.

This was the same exact argument being used last year when folks were lobbying for Monahan. So even if we measure this years draft stock with the same arguments made last year for Monahan, Perlini would be the better prospect.

Therefore, If there was a player outside of the top four this year that I would like Burke to grab it would still be Perlini instead of Ritchie.

Ritchie isn't as good as some other would believe. I certainly don't. I think Nylander, Kapanen, Perlini should be ahead of him in the rankings. And justly.

My distaste for Ritchie is justified IMO.
Over half of Perlini's point came on the powerplay (36 PP points). That is even more concerning because they play in a shoebox of an arena (tiny ice surface) so its just fire the puck randomly and hope it hits someone.

Only 25.6% of Ritchie's points came on the powerplay.

Niagara had 80 more power plays than Peterborough (and 39 more PP goals). If you even that out... Ritchie starts to pull away.
