Okay, I was looking around on ebay today for an old Nikon film camera just for kicks. I found a N6006 with a lens that was worth more than the price, so I bought that. Good find.
I have been wanting a d7100 but had decided not to spend the money and wait for the d7200 to come out. If it's not significantly better than the d7100, at least the d7100 price would probably go down.
So, I noticed several d7100s for less than a grand.
Suddenly I see a listing - 4 d7100s available, buy it now, 200 bucks each.
I keep thinking-it must be a trick. I don't want to get ripped off. This isn't ethical. Blah blah blah.
I noticed the seller has only been a member since March and has no feedback. No other items for sale either. Seller says he/she is based in US, but the item ships from Hong Kong and may take close to a month to receive. English is obviously not the seller's first language.
So I ditched the listing.
After a few minutes, I decided to go back. After all, the seller took paypal. There is also the eBay guarantee.
But of course all 4 cameras were gone. Did I do the right thing?
I doubt the seller left out the "1", meaning to sell for 1200 bucks. That would be more expensive than the other listings.
So, go ahead, make me feel worse ;(
Any of you ever miss something like that due to a misplaced conscience lol.
Now I go back to ebay and there's a similar listing-body only, nothing else-from Japan for over 1300 bucks, plus 57 shipping.
So maybe the seller did forget the "1".
